Cincinnati Center for DBT Reschedule Policy

We limit our caseloads in order to provide the best possible care to you and offer flexible scheduling to best meet your needs.  Please understand that your appointment time was reserved specifically for you. In order to maintain our ability to keep a limited caseload, we strictly enforce the following policy:

For individual psychotherapy & medication management appointments

Officially scheduled appointments cannot be “cancelled” and can only be “rescheduled.”

1.  Appointments are considered “scheduled” if made between you and your provider or by you scheduling on our website, if applicable.

2.  Once an appointment is scheduled, you have purchased that appointment time.

3. If you cannot make the appointment at the scheduled time, you must contact your provider a minimum of 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time in order to reschedule.

4. If you are unable to attend the session and you do not announce intent to reschedule before 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment, the appointment will be forfeited at the original fee.

5. Upon providing a minimum of 24 hours notice, you can reschedule a new appointment within a three-week time frame of the originally scheduled appointment (e.g., you can reschedule for the week before the originally scheduled appointment, week of the originally scheduled appointment, or week after the originally scheduled appointment.  This will likely mean you may have two appointments in one week).  Or, you and your provider can explore holding the session via video telehealth, if appropriate.

6. The rescheduled appointment cannot be rescheduled again.

7. Correspondence for rescheduled appointments is via phone or email.

8. Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions and may not pay for less than full sessions.

For group psychotherapy appointments

Your fee reserves your seat in the group and your attendance is important for the group to run most effectively.  To that end, if you are late or unable to attend a group session, you will still be charged the full fee.  Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions and may not pay for less than full sessions.  Please inform us if you are unable to attend group so that we know why you are not there.
